UFC lightweight champion Islam Makhachev has announced for the first time that he wants to fight fellow champion Ilia Topuria.
İdman.biz reports that the 33-year-old MMA fighter announced his move to the welterweight division in May.
Makhachev said the following about the topic at a press conference dedicated to a joint tournament of the Eagle FC and Fight Nights organizations held in Kaspiysk: "My next fight? There is a certain intrigue with Topuria. This fight is also interesting to me. It may be possible to organize some kind of super fight. I don't know, it will depend on the weight, we'll see."
It should be noted that Makhachev will fight Jack Della Maddalena, the welterweight champion - the date of the fight is not yet known.
