Algerian boxer Imane Khelif, champion of the Paris Olympics, has denied rumors about ending her sports career.
According to Lent.az, Khelif said that these reports are not true:
"These rumors are only based on the statements of a person who does not represent me in any way and who, in my opinion, betrays trust and the country. I have not announced that I have quit sports, and I remain committed to my career, regularly training, maintaining my form, and preparing for upcoming competitions.
These rumors are only spread to hinder my sports career. I will always remain loyal to sports and my homeland Algeria. These lies will not stop me from protecting and honoring the colors of my country."
