"I want to fight Islam Makhachev at the White House."
Idman.Biz reports that this was stated by UFC lightweight champion, Georgian-born fighter Ilia Topuria in an interview with journalist Giorgi Kokiashvili.
Topuria stated that if his wish comes true, it could go down in UFC history: "If a fight with Islam Makhachev takes place at the White House, it could be one of the biggest fights in UFC history. No one has fought for a third belt yet. Islam was completely dominant in the previous weight class and has now moved up a level. That's why this fight will be magnificent and unforgettable."
It should be noted that the UFC tournament will be held for the first time at the US President's residence - the White House. The night, which will take place on June 14, 2026, will be dedicated to the 250th anniversary of US independence.
