Boxing competitions continued today at the Yevlakh Olympic Sports Complex as part of the III CIS Games.
İdman.biz reports that Azerbaijani boxer Aysel Farajova (46 kg) defeated Uzbek Ruxshonabonu Ahadova and reached the final.
Amina Taghi, another Azerbaijani boxer competing in the semi-final in the 50 kg weight category, was superior to Arina Kmita from Belarus - 4:1.
Another Azerbaijani boxer, Jamila Muradli (54 kg), defeated Kazakh Adelaida Sadvakassova (5:0) and secured a place in the final.
In the 60 kg weight category, Aynur Ismayilova defeated Furuğ Sarhaszoda from Tajikistan. Gular Huseynova (48 kg) was superior to another Tajik representative, Kumriniso Imomaliyeva. Both of our boxers reached the final.
In another semi-final match, Azerbaijani athlete Fidan Bakarova (63 kg) defeated Zlata Konovalova from Russia.
Thus, 6 Azerbaijani boxers qualified for the final.
It should be noted that the final matches among female boxers will be held on October 4.
