The "Heydar Aliyev Cup-2025" international tournament among junior boys and girls boxers will start on May 16.
The press service of the Azerbaijan Boxing Federation told "Report" about this.
National teams of Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Montenegro, Russia, Belarus, Turkey and Georgia, along with the Azerbaijani national team, will participate in the traditional competition to be held at the Baku Boxing Center.
In the tournament with the participation of more than 200 boxers, the winners will be determined in 14 weight categories for boys and 9 for girls. The final matches of "Heydar Aliyev Cup-2025" will be held on May 21.
The Azerbaijani national team will compete in the competition with a large team. The head coach of the team, Vagif Kazimov, will test 60 juniors in the tournament.
The opening ceremony of the competition will be held on the first day at 14:00, followed by fights.
It should be noted that Igor Biletski (Ukraine) will be the supervisor of the "Heydar Aliyev Cup-2025", and Anar Babanli will be the head referee.
