The "Heydar Aliyev Cup-2025" international tournament among junior boys and girls boxers will start on May 16. Sport24.az reports that, along with the Azerbaijani national team, the national teams of Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Montenegro, Russia, Belarus, Turkey and Georgia will participate in the traditional competition to be held at the Baku Boxing Center.
In the tournament, which will be attended by more than 200 boxers, the winners in 14 weight categories for boys and 9 for girls will be determined. The final matches of the "Heydar Aliyev Cup-2025" will be held on May 21.
The Azerbaijani national team will compete in the competition with a large delegation. The head coach of our team, Vagif Kazimov, will test 60 juniors in the tournament.
The opening ceremony of the competition will be held at 14:00 on the first day, followed by the fights.
It should be noted that the supervisor of the "Heydar Aliyev Cup-2025" will be Igor Biletsky (Ukraine), and the chief judge will be Anar Babanli.
