WBA lightweight world champion Gervonta Davis has been arrested in Miami on charges of domestic violence. Sport24.az reports that the 30-year-old boxer allegedly assaulted his ex-girlfriend, the mother of his two children, on June 15.
According to reports, Davis was later released on $10,000 bail. A court hearing is scheduled for July 29.
This marks Davis's third arrest for domestic violence. Previous incidents occurred in 2020 and 2022. He also served 44 days in jail in Baltimore in 2023 for violating the terms of his house arrest related to a 2020 hit-and-run incident.
Despite his legal troubles, Davis remains undefeated in the professional ring – with 31 fights and no losses. His last fight in March ended in a controversial draw with Lamont Roach Jr. A rematch between the two is planned for August.
