WBA lightweight world champion Gervonta Davis has been arrested in Miami on charges of domestic violence.
İdman.biz reports, citing the BBC, that the 30-year-old boxer allegedly assaulted his ex-girlfriend - the mother of his two children - on June 15.
Davis was reportedly later released on $10,000 bail. A court hearing has been scheduled for July 29.
This is Davis's third arrest related to domestic violence. Previous incidents occurred in 2020 and 2022. He also spent 44 days in jail in Baltimore in 2023 for violating the terms of his house arrest related to a 2020 hit-and-run incident.
It should be noted that despite legal problems, Davis is undefeated in the professional ring - he has not lost in 31 fights. His last fight ended in a controversial draw with Lamont Roach Jr in March. A rematch between the parties is planned for August.
