Mateusz Gamrot, the Polish fighter ranked eighth in the UFC lightweight rankings, explained why he can defeat former UFC lightweight champion Charles Oliveira in their fight.
İdman.biz reports that Gamrot will face Oliveira in a fight where Rafael Fiziev will not be able to compete due to injury.
"Jiu-jitsu and wrestling are the basis of my past. It's in my DNA. I can dominate him on the ground. That's why I want to test my strength against him in the ground game. Wrestling is power," said Gamrot.
The fight between Mateusz and Charles will take place on October 11 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil at "UFC Fight Night 261." Oliveira was originally scheduled to face Rafael Fiziev, but the Azerbaijani fighter withdrew from the fight due to a leg injury.
