The European Championship among boxers under 19 years old has started in Ostrava, Czech Republic.
According to "Report", two athletes of the Azerbaijani national team, who entered the ring on the first day of the competition, finished their fights with a victory.
In the 70 kg weight category, Rza Rzayev faced Gleb Herdt (Israel). The boxer defeated his opponent with a score of 5:0 (30:26, 30:25, 30:27, 30:26, 30:26) in the 1/16 finals. In the next match, he will face Akaki Basaria (Georgia), who was free from the first stage.
Abbasgulu Shadlinski (75 kg) also started the European Championship with a victory. The fighter was stronger than Gerasimos Tzavaros (Greece) in the 1/16 finals - 5:0 (29:28, 29:28, 30:27, 30:27, 30:27). In the second fight, Shadlinski will test Ahmed Koçi (Albania), who was free from the first stage.
Both of our boxers will enter the 1/8 final fight on October 2.
It should be noted that the European Championship will end on October 9.
