John Wood, coach of Georgian UFC bantamweight champion Merab Dvalishvili, spoke about his protege's potential rematch with Russian Umar Nurmagomedov.
According to İdman.biz, in an interview with the "Submission Radio" YouTube channel, Wood confidently spoke about Dvalishvili's future fight:
"I believe Merab will destroy Umar in the rematch. Things will go worse for Umar than they did in the first fight. Merab was in a worse situation back then, suffering from illness and trauma. Nevertheless, he entered the octagon and did his job. I think the rematch will be tougher."
Dvalishvili and Nurmagomedov fought at UFC 311 in January of this year. The Georgian fighter won by unanimous decision.
