The doping test of Uzbek boxer Lazizbek Mullajonov, the winner of the Paris-2024 Summer Olympic Games, came back positive.
Idman.biz reports that a metasterone metabolite was detected in the athlete who won a gold medal in the 92 kg weight category at the Olympics, as a result of a test taken for "World Boxing" on June 11.
This is included in the World Anti-Doping Agency's list of prohibited substances. If the boxer's B sample is also positive, he will be disqualified for violating anti-doping rules.
It should be noted that Mullajonov defeated Azerbaijani boxer Alfonso Dominguez in the final at Paris-2024.
