This was the 10th consecutive defeat for Brazilians at UFC tournaments held in 2025.
Before Teixeira, Charles Oliveira, Gilbert Burns, Deiveson Figueiredo, Carlos Prates, Diego Lopez, Alex Pereira, Gregory Rodrigues, Renato Moicano, and Amanda Ribas also lost in the final fights.
The next chance to break the losing streak will be on August 23, when Johnny Walker will fight Chinese fighter Zhang Minyan in Shanghai. This is considered the main match of the night.
