Another Azerbaijani boxer, Mahammadali Gasimzade (60 kg), was defeated in the semi-final stage of the World Cup held in Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan.

He settled for a bronze medal as he lost to Brazilian Luis Gabriel du Nasimento in this round.
It should be noted that Subhan Mammadov (50 kg) also won a bronze medal after losing in the semi-finals . The semi-final fights continue at the World Cup, which is attended by about 300 boxers from 30 countries.
