Bilalhabashi Nazarov, the winner of the U-19 European Championship held in Ostrava, Czech Republic, and who has gone down in Azerbaijani boxing history, wants to achieve the same success in competitions among adults.
The athlete himself stated this in an interview with "Report".
He said that he would not be satisfied with his current results:
"Our team prepared well for this competition. The medals we won showed it. I had 4 fights and won each one. In the final, I defeated the Italian athlete and became the European champion for the second time. Last year, the European Youth Championship was held in Croatia, and I also won the championship title in that competition. My main goal in this competition was to defend my title. Thank God, I succeeded, but of course, I will not be satisfied with this. Next year I will compete among adults. My main goal is to win an Olympic medal. I want to train harder and work harder to repeat my results among adults as well".
It should be noted that the 18-year-old athlete, the winner of the competition held in the Czech Republic, became the first Azerbaijani boxer to win the title of two-time European champion.
