The Azerbaijani national team of U-15 boys' boxers saw the fruits of their training camps at the European Championship.
This was stated to "Report" by the head coach of the team, Vugar Mammadov.
He spoke about the performance of the boxers who won 2 gold, 3 silver and 3 bronze medals at the U-15 European Championship held in Budva, Montenegro:
"We prepared very well for the continental championship. We held training camps in Shamakhi and Baku, as well as in Bukhara, Uzbekistan. We saw the results of this in the competition. We finished sixth in the team standings. We could have had more medals. However, some of our boxers were inexperienced as they debuted at the European Championship. We will try to achieve better results in the next competitions and raise the name of our country even higher".
It should be noted that 1 gold, 2 silver, 3 bronze medals were won by boys, and 1 gold and 1 silver by girls.
