The Azerbaijani national team showed excellent results at the European Kickboxing Championship in the WAKO version among youth, juniors and cadets, held in Lido Jesolo, Italy, from September 12-21.
"Report" reports that the national team won a total of 5 gold, 6 silver and 10 bronze medals, rising to 14th place among 41 countries participating in this prestigious competition.
Sabina Giyasova, a member of the judging panel, a judge of the republic and international level, was selected as the best ring female judge of the competition, in addition to winning the international A category.
Eduard Mammadov, vice-president of the Azerbaijan Kickboxing Federation, congratulated all members of the national team, the coaching staff, and the judges on their achievements.
In addition, he expressed his gratitude to the honorary president of the federation, Adil Aliyev, and the president of the federation, Orkhan Aliyev, who played an indispensable role in the development of kickboxing, and the Ministry of Youth and Sports, which supports the federation in every competition, for their comprehensive support.
