The World Boxing Championship for men and women is continuing in Liverpool. Sport24.az reports that the competition is being organized by World Boxing for the first time.
Azerbaijani athletes have successfully started their performances today.
Najaf Guliyev (55 kg) defeated Cuban Rolando Martinez Peres 4:1 in the 1/16 finals. Murad Allahverdiyev (80 kg) defeated Albanian boxer Amar Koçi with a score of 4:1.
It should be noted that five of the 11 boxers representing our country in the tournament have already completed their performances.
