Two more Azerbaijani boxers have advanced to the next stage of the World Championship held in Liverpool, England.
"Report" reports with reference to the press service of the Boxing Federation that Nijat Huseynov (55 kg) faced Cuban Rolando Martinez Peres.
The fight, which took place as part of the 1/16 final stage, ended with a confident victory for our representative. Huseynov defeated his opponent with a score of 4:1 (28:29, 29:28, 29:28, 29:28, 29:28). He will hold his next meeting against Bilguunsaykhan Kharkhuu (Mongolia).
Murad Allahverdiyev (80 kg) also made it to the 1/8 finals. The boxer eliminated Amar Kochini (Albania) – 4:1 (30:27, 29:28, 29:28, 28:29, 30:27). In his second match, he will clarify his relationship with Philip Akilov (Hungary).
Both boxers will enter the 1/8 final fight on September 9.
