The World Boxing Championship for men and women continues in Liverpool, England. Sport24.az reports that another athlete of the Azerbaijani national team has passed the stage on the second day of the World Cup.
Subhan Mammadov (50 kg) faced Fredelin De Los Santos (Dominican Republic) in the 1/16 finals. Our boxer defeated his opponent with a score of 4:1 (29:28, 29:28, 29:28, 29:28, 28:29).
He will face Samet Gümüş (Turkey) in the 1/8 finals. The fight will take place on September 9.
It should be noted that Zaur Gahramanov (65 kg) and Saidjamshid Jafarov (75 kg) have also passed the stage before. One boxer of our national team will enter the ring on the third day of the World Cup.
