Azerbaijani athletes' victory at the MMA tournament in Tbilisi

On August 30, an international MMA tournament was held in Tbilisi, the capital of Georgia, at the initiative of the GAMMA organization.

The local bureau of "Report" reports that the MMA tournament was the scene of interesting encounters between Azerbaijani and Georgian athletes.

Azerbaijan was represented by five athletes - Rasul Rahimov, Fagan Rizaev, Yusif Gasimov, Vasif Ahlimanov and Musa Zade. In the fights, Yusif Gasimov and Rasul Rahimov defeated their Georgian rivals and experienced the joy of victory.

Farid Alibabazade, the head coach of the Azerbaijani national team, said that the team participated in the competition with a full squad and high preparation:

"We have prepared very well and our goal is to return to our Motherland with victory and bring joy to our people," the head coach emphasized.

Azerbaijani fighter Rasul Rahimov said in a statement before his performance that he was diligently preparing for victory.

Every meeting in the tournament was met with great enthusiasm in the stands. Georgian athletes, after the fight, expressed their respect and love for their Azerbaijani colleagues and the Azerbaijani people.

Giga Kukhalashvili, the head of the GAMA organization, emphasized that international tournaments play an important role in strengthening friendly relations between athletes:

"Athletes who are rivals in the ring build friendly relations outside. This contributes to the strengthening of relations between the two peoples," he said.
