The boxing competitions at the CIS Games, which will be held in Azerbaijan for the first time, will start on September 29. Our national team will participate in the competition, which will end on October 5, with 37 athletes.

Vagif Kazimov, the head coach of the men's national team, and coaches Agasi Mammadov and Teymur Mammadov will rely on 2 teams in the III Games. Gardash Rahimov, Ali Rushanov (both 46 kg), Ali Aliyev, Hasan Sahratli (both 48 kg), Aykhan Hasanov, Mahammadali Karimli (both 50 kg), Ali Abasli, Huseyn Guliyev (both 52 kg), Ibrahim Badalli, Sadiq Musayev (both 54 kg), Raul Heydarli, Aflatun Ismiyev (both 57 kg), Shahin Aslanov, Togrul Guliyev (both 60 kg), Hagverdi Hasanov, Mahammadali Rustamov (both 63 kg), Deniz Rustamov, Nurlan Suleymanov (both 66 kg), Adil Zolov, Hidayat Mammadov (both 70 kg), Shukar Aliyev, Nijat Imanov (both 75 kg), Ismayil Veliyev, Turgay Abbasov (both 80 kg), Safdar Mammadovzadeh and Ibrahim Naghiyev (both +80 kg) will enter the ring in the competition to be held at the Yevlakh Olympic Sports Complex.
Ilkin Agayev, the head coach of the women's national team, and coach Elnur Piriyev will give Aysel Farajova, Aylin Nazarova (both 46 kg), Gular Huseynova (48 kg), Amina Taghi, Sima Ismayilova (both 50 kg), Zahra Mammadova (52 kg), Jamila Muradli (54 kg), Azarpur Mirruqayya (57 kg), Aynur Ismayilova (60 kg), Fidan Bakarova (63 kg) and Sama Abbasova (66 kg) a chance at the CIS Games.
161 boxers from 8 countries - Azerbaijan, Russia, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Kyrgyzstan - will test their strength in the competition. The final match of female athletes will be held on October 4, and the decisive battles of male athletes will be held the next day.
The fights will be managed by 15 referees from Azerbaijan and 1 referee each from Belarus, Russia, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan.
It should be noted that Emil Gurbanaliyev will be the supervisor and Anar Babanli will be the head referee of the III CIS Games.
