An assassination attempt was made on Russian MMA fighter Timur Khizriev in Makhachkala, Dagestan.
Idman.biz reports that camera footage shows the incident was carried out by two armed individuals.
Unidentified individuals shot the athlete from behind. Then the attackers got into a white "Priora" and fled the scene.
According to initial reports, Khizriev received about five wounds to the shoulder, wrist, and chest.
It is reported that the athlete's condition is stable and his life is not in danger.
