Azerbaijani boxer Amina Taghi has won the title of European champion.
Idman.biz reports that the athlete, competing in the 50 kg weight category, achieved this success at the continental championship among teenagers held in Novi Pazar, Serbia.
She defeated Armenian Amest Afrikyan in the final. Our boxer defeated her opponent with a score of 4:1 (29:28, 29:28, 29:28, 27:30, 30:27), rose to the highest step of the podium, and the Azerbaijani anthem was played in Novi Pazar in her honor.
Other female boxers from our team, Jamila Muradli (52 kg), Fidan Bakarova (63 kg), and Sama Abbasova (66 kg) won silver medals, while Aylin Nazarova (46 kg), Gular Huseynova (48 kg), and Zahra Mammadova (54 kg) won bronze medals.
