Azerbaijani MMA fighter Ali Guliyev's fight, scheduled for July 24 as part of the UAE Warriors tournament in Abu Dhabi, has been canceled.
Idman.biz reports that the reason for this was the intervention of the Swedish FCR league, with which Guliyev has a contract.
Ali Guliyev was supposed to fight Norwegian Jon Vetle Furuheim. However, the Swedish organization, citing the terms of an exclusive agreement with the Azerbaijani athlete, did not allow him to participate in the competition.
It should be noted that the UAE Warriors league is considered one of the leading regional MMA organizations and closely cooperates with the world's largest promotion, the UFC.
