The Azerbaijan Boxing Federation (ABF) has clarified the scandal involving technical director Hamza Avezov in the final match between Yusif Agakishiyev (75 kg) and Viktor Maystrovich at the European Schoolboy Boxing Championship in Zlatibor, Serbia.
This was reported to "Report" by the ABF press service.
It was stated that steps will be taken regarding H. Avezov in accordance with the ABF's instructions and rules, due to his failure to act in accordance with sports ethics.
It was noted that in the mentioned fight, the North Macedonian referee Stefan Subalevski acted biasedly, prioritizing his personal interests, and fraudulently deprived our boxer of a clean victory and stripped him of the championship.
ABF will also address the relevant international organization to take action against the referee.
