The U-15 European Boxing Championship continues in Budva, Montenegro. According to Sport24.az, 3 more boxers from the Azerbaijani national team won on the fifth day of the competition, which was attended by 369 athletes from 32 countries.
Eljan Musazade (50 kg) faced Tobias Vichenik (Czech Republic) in the 1/4 finals. Our representative won his third consecutive match – 5:0 (30:27, 30:27, 30:27, 30:26, 30:27). He will face Shane Kite (England) in the semi-finals.
Yusif Agakishiyev (75 kg) also finished his fight in the 1/4 finals in his favor. It took our boxer only 45 seconds to defeat Giorge Bratu (Romania). Agakishiyev, who won with a full advantage, will face Oleksandr Tomich (Ukraine) in the semi-finals.
Mehran Rasulov (80 kg) defeated Giorgi Guledani (Georgia) in the 1/4 finals – 5:0 (30:27, 30:27, 30:27, 30:27, 30:27). He will test his strength against Valeri Todorov (Bulgaria) in the next match.
By advancing to the semi-finals, all 3 national team members have secured at least a bronze medal for themselves. Before them, 2 boys and 2 girl boxers also won this right.
1/4 final matches of the European Championship will continue today as well.
It should be noted that the competition will end on October 25. The semi-final matches for female athletes will take place on October 23, and for male athletes the next day.
