The body of 21-year-old professional boxer Jesus Ivan Mercado Cabrera was found on the street in Mexico.
Idman.biz reports that his body was found in a ditch by the roadside.
The boxer's family reported his disappearance three days ago. The body was identified thanks to the tattoos on Mercado's body. Although no signs of violence were found, signs of outside interference were recorded.
The Sonora State Attorney General's Office has launched an investigation into the incident.
It should be noted that Jesus Mercado made his professional boxing debut in September 2021. He has had 17 fights in his career: 7 wins, 9 losses and 1 draw. His last fight was against Enrique Torres Juarez in April this year. Mercado was scheduled to enter the ring against Adrian Ruiz on September 27 in Hermosillo, Sonora.
