Eduard Sandler, the president and head coach of Russia's "Dinamo" (Vladivostok) basketball club, has died at the age of 44.
Idman.Biz reports that he was riding a hydrocycle in Vladivostok when he crashed into rocks and lost his life.
Sandler had previously been sentenced to two years in prison for embezzling funds from Russia's "Spartak-Primorye" basketball club, but was released early.
Last year, football player Anton Muxin had filed a complaint against him with the police, accusing him of beating him up in a bathhouse.
