The new head coach of the Ganja basketball team has been announced.
Idman.Biz reports, citing the club, that the "yellow-blues" will be led by US citizen Martin Knejevic. A contract has been signed with the 47-year-old specialist until the end of the upcoming season.
"Martin Knejivic has worked in 7 countries, in addition to his homeland, during his 12-year professional coaching career. He has been active in Canada, Denmark, Romania, Lebanon, Vietnam, Mexico, and China. He has worked with many players who have played in the NBA. He has work experience in clubs like "Dallas Mavericks" and "Cleveland Cavaliers".
Our club believes that Martin Knejevic will bring Ganja to the next successes. We expect our team to win the European Cup, ABL, and the Azerbaijan Cup under the leadership of the specialist," the message reads.
