Azerbaijani freestyle wrestler Turan Bayramov (74 kg) performed successfully at the European Championship held in Tirana, the capital of Albania.
Idman.Biz reports that our wrestler defeated neutral athlete Farhad Nurikhorjestani, representing UWW, with a score of 3:2 and advanced to the 1/4 finals.
Another wrestler, Ali Tsokayev (92 kg), won a victory with a full advantage (10:0) over Belarusian representative Yaroslav Yadkovski (UWW) and qualified for the 1/4 finals.
Arseniy Djioyev (86 kg) also demonstrated a full advantage in the match against Ukrainian Denis Bikov, winning (10:0) and advancing to the 1/4 finals.
It should be noted that the European Championship will end on April 26.

Let us remind you that earlier Greco-Roman wrestlers Hasrat Jafarov (67 kg) and Gurban Gurbanov (82 kg) won gold medals, while Rashad Mammadov (55 kg), Nihat Mammadli (60 kg) and Islam Abbasov (87 kg) won bronze medals. The national Greco-Roman wrestling team became the first in the team standings. Among female wrestlers, Jala Aliyeva (57 kg) and Gunay Gurbanova (59 kg) won bronze medals.
