The first ranking tournament of 2026 has started in Zagreb, the capital of Croatia. Sport24.az reports that Azerbaijan's women's wrestling team is also competing in the "Zagreb Open" tournament.
Under the leadership of acting head coach Toghrul Asgarov and senior coach Agahuseyn Mustafayev, Asmar Cankurtaran, Elnura Mammadova (both 50 kg), Nargiz Samadova (53 kg), Jala Aliyeva (57 kg), Gunay Gurbanova (59 kg), Birgul Soltanova (68 kg) and Zahra Karimzade (72 kg) represent our country.
First-class referee Ali Babayev is also among the representatives of justice in the tournament.
