Despite the difficulties faced in the first game, the Azerbaijani volleyball club "Xilasedici" is determined to advance to the 1/8 finals of the Challenge Cup.
This was reported to Idman.Biz by the team's head coach, Jalil Jalilov.
He emphasized that the team has fully recovered after the 0:3 defeat in the first game.
"Yes, the victory gives the opponent a certain psychological advantage, but we are also extremely determined and hope that by winning the game, we will take the match to the "Golden Set". Unfortunately, we were unable to complete two transfers due to players' visa problems, but of course, this will not be an excuse for possible failure. We created the problems ourselves by losing the home game, and on January 7 in Belgium, we will try to save the situation and be worthy of our club's name," said Jalil Jalilov.
It should be noted that only a 3:0 or 3:1 victory is beneficial for "Xilasedici" in the return match against "Lindemans". In this case, according to the tournament regulations, the owner of the ticket to the next stage will be determined in the "Golden Set". The winner of that set will advance to the 1/8 finals of the Challenge Cup.
