The beach volleyball season has started.
Idman.Biz reports that the "King & Queen of the Court" tournament in beach volleyball was held for the first time by the Azerbaijan Volleyball Federation (AVF).
The winners of the tournament, which was organized today at the Baku Aquatics Palace, have been determined. 10 men's and 12 women's teams competed in the competition. This world-famous tournament was held according to its own game system. First, group games were held, and then the final matches.
In the women's competition, the pairs Ilza Vilde - Inara Huseynzade, Ceren Evmez - Dilek Kubra, Sabina Alizade - Leyla Aliyeva, Dilara Agayeva - Ulyana Kovalyova faced each other for the gold medal.
In the men's competition, the pairs Atvars Vilde - Klavs Vilde, Heydar Mammadli - Ozan Baltaci, Ibrahim Mammadov - Muhammad Aslanli, Ferda Daryayev - Jamal Jalilov competed for the championship.
Based on the results of the games, which took place in a tense and interesting competitive environment, the Sabina Alizade - Leyla Aliyeva pair won the gold medals in the women's competition. In the men's competition, the Heydar Mammadli - Ozan Baltaci pair won.
After the games, an award ceremony and closing ceremony were held. The winners were presented with a crown, diploma, medal and gifts from VMF Saat Fabriki, a partner of the Azerbaijan Volleyball Federation.
The winners were awarded by the Minister of Youth and Sports Farid Gayibov and Elgar Bagirov, a member of the AVF Board of Directors.
