Winners of the Azerbaijan Championship among volleyball players under 18 have been determined

The Azerbaijan Championship among volleyball players under 18 has concluded for both girls and boys. The winners of the medals were determined in the decisive matches held at the Volleyball Center of the Ministry of Youth and Sports.

Idman.Biz reports that in the boys' competition, the "Murov Az Terminal" team defeated "Baku RVK" with a score of 3:1 to win the bronze medal. Among the girls, the "Momina Khatun" team took third place, defeating the "Oguz RVK" club with a score of 3:0.

In the girls' final match, the "National Aviation Academy" team defeated "Lokomotiv" with a score of 3:0 to win the competition. In the boys' decisive match, the "Sharqi Zangazur RVK" team defeated "ORDU" with the same score (3:0) to become the champion.

At the awarding ceremony held after the final games, the activities of Shahin Chatman, the head coach of the national teams of junior and young girls, whose contract with the Azerbaijan Volleyball Federation (AVF) has expired, were highly appreciated. AVF President Shahin Bagirov thanked the Turkish specialist, who was invited to our country in 2023, for his contribution to the development of volleyball in the capital and regions, and presented him with a letter of gratitude from the federation.

Members of the youth national team presented Shahin Chatma with a symbolic uniform of the team. In his speech, the Turkish specialist thanked the AVF leadership for the created conditions and expressed his confidence that young athletes will successfully perform in the main national team in the future.
