The final stage of the district tournament in volleyball among teams consisting of students of secondary schools was held in the Yardimli Sports Complex, organized by the Lankaran-Astara Regional Youth and Sports Department and the Hajigabul Regional Volleyball Club.
Idman.biz reports that the competition was attended by the President of the Azerbaijan Volleyball Federation Shahin Bagirov, the Head of the Yardimli District Executive Power Ayaz Askerov, the Head of the Lankaran-Astara Regional Youth and Sports Department Teymur Babazade and other official guests.
They spoke about the attention and care shown by the country's leadership to the development of sports in our Republic, and informed the participants of the event that infrastructure is being built at a high level for the development of sports in the regions and districts.
8 teams competed in the tournament. In a tense match, the "Istiqlal" team of Yardimli district secondary school No. 2 took the 1st place, the "Ugur" team of Horovar village secondary school of Yardimli district took the 2nd place, and the "Hilal" team of Sırıq village secondary school of Yardimli district took the 3rd place.
The winning teams were awarded with cups, diplomas and medals.
