Next year, Azerbaijan will be one of the organizers of the European Women's Volleyball Championship.
Idman.biz reports that, in addition to our capital, Turkey, Czech Republic and Sweden will host the competition, which will be held in four countries.
The play-off games, including the semi-final and final stages, will be held in Ankara. One group's games will be held in Baku at the National Gymnastics Arena.
A little over a month remains until the end of the qualifying round - the determination of all teams that will participate in the final tournament. The decisive qualifying games will be held on August 2-10.
After the first round, Germany, Hungary, Spain, Slovenia, Greece and Croatia, who lead their groups, have each won two victories.
According to the regulations, not only the group winners, but also five of the seven teams that take second place in the trio will qualify for EURO-2026.
Currently, the names of 12 of the 24 teams that will compete in the final stage are known. These are the hosts in the form of Azerbaijan, Turkey, Sweden and the Czech Republic, as well as the teams of Serbia, the Netherlands, Italy, Poland, France, Bulgaria, Ukraine and Slovakia.
