"Murov Az Terminal" is Ready to Fight for the Championship

The "Murov Az Terminal" men's volleyball team will compete for the championship in the new season of the Azerbaijan Championship.

This was stated to "Report" by the club's general manager, Shiraslan Karimov.

The club official stated that they have formed a stronger team:

"We have been the silver medalist in the national championship for two years now. Although we perform consistently during the tournament, something is missing in the final. We have assembled a much stronger team compared to last season. We have invited a new head coach and signed a 1-year contract. We will compete for the championship in the new season. I hope we will achieve our goal."

He also noted that the team's new captain has been determined:

"We have made changes to the squad. We have very good foreign players. We have taken 5 foreign volleyball players. Aleksey Samoylenko, who was selected as the best player of the last season, will remain in the team and will be the captain."

Sh.Karimov said that they have also invited club graduates to the main team:

"We have also invited volleyball players who are graduates of "Murov Az Terminal" to the team. Our main goal is the development of local players. We have decided not to take older volleyball players into the team anymore. Our new players are 17-18 years old. Playing with legionnaires is a great opportunity for their development."

It should be noted that "Murov Az Terminal" won the silver medals of the Azerbaijan Higher League last season.
