The final stage of the district volleyball tournament among teams of secondary school students, organized by the Lankaran-Astara Regional Youth and Sports Department and the Hajigabul Regional Volleyball Club, was held at the Yardimli Sports Complex.
According to "Report", citing the press service of the Azerbaijan Volleyball Federation, AVF President Shahin Bagirov, Head of Yardimli District Executive Power Ayaz Askerov, Head of Lankaran-Astara Regional Youth and Sports Department Teymur Babazade and other official guests participated in the tournament.
They said that the country's leadership pays attention and care to the development of sports. They informed the event participants that the infrastructure for the development of sports is being built at a high level in the regions.
8 teams competed in the competition. The "Istiqlal" team of Yardimli District Secondary School No. 2 took first place, the "Ugur" team of Horovar village secondary school of Yardimli district took second place, and the "Hilal" team of Sirig village secondary school of Yardimli district took third place. The winning teams were awarded with cups, diplomas and medals.
