"Azerreyl", which lost to Serbian club "Radnicki" with a score of 0:3 (21:25, 18:25, 22:25) in the first match of the first qualifying round of the Men's Volleyball Champions League, is already preparing for the return match.
The club's captain Roman Merkushov told Idman.Biz about this.
"There is not much to say, this is, of course, a disappointing defeat. At the beginning of the match, the initiative was with us and we were ahead in the score, but then the opponent changed the tactics of the game, put pressure on us with serves and forced us to make more mistakes. In general, the game was affected by the numerous mistakes we made in attack, in receiving the ball, and this was reflected in the final result. The opponent's game forced us to take risks and we often made mistakes," Merkushov said.
"Maybe the result was not desirable, but we have time to recover and fight in the upcoming return game on October 29 in Serbia. We started preparing for this match immediately after the defeat," the team captain emphasized.
