The Azerbaijan men's volleyball team will face one of the leaders of the European Silver League.
Idman.biz reports that the next games of the tournament will be held in Baku on June 13-15.
The team, led by Farid Jalalov, will start the home competition with a game against Luxembourg. The opponent had a successful start to the tournament: they won two victories by defeating Austria 3:1 and Iceland 3:0.
The Luxembourg national team, with 6 points, is in second place in the tournament table, only behind Sweden in terms of set difference.
There is a history of confrontations between the men's volleyball teams of Azerbaijan and Luxembourg. The rivals have met three times before: the Azerbaijan national team won both matches within the framework of the European Championship qualifying stage, but lost 2:3 in the European Golden League last year.
In this regard, there is a good opportunity to avenge that defeat.
The Azerbaijan national team will also face Hungary in Baku on June 15.
