Former world number one tennis player Serena Williams talked about her physical development.
Idman.Biz reports that Williams is a 23-time Grand Slam tournament winner.
"I had difficult moments early in my career. My body was different. I had big breasts and thighs. All the female athletes around me were very thin. That was considered the norm. Yes, it affected me psychologically. Everyone said I didn't look like an athlete. You spend your whole life thinking you're too big, then you look back and realize you were in great shape. Yes, I had big muscles. I didn't look like other girls, but we're all different.
After winning my first Grand Slam in 1999, I decided to stop reading articles about myself to protect myself. Now everything has changed. These female tennis players are no longer treated like us. Back then we were told we looked like men, and so on," Williams said in an interview with Porter Magazine.
