The Azerbaijan Table Tennis Cup has concluded. Sport24.az reports that table tennis players aged 14 and 18, representing various cities and regions alongside the capital Baku, competed in the tournament.
According to the results of the tournament held at the "Shua Sports Complex", "Sumgayit 1" became the winner of the team competition for girls born in 2011 and younger.
The boys' competition resulted in a victory for IOEUGIM No. 13.
In the doubles competitions, the tandem of Yagmur Mammadli - Sofia Trofimenko and Onur Guluzade - Aliakbar Mirzaliyev took first place.
In the mixed doubles category, the pair Onur Guluzade - Yagmur Mammadli climbed to the highest step of the podium.
Yagmur Mammadli and Onur Guluzade also defeated all their opponents in the individual competitions.
In the team competitions for athletes born in 2007-2010, "Sumgayit 1" showed the best result in the girls' competition, and "IOEUGIM No. 13" in the boys' competition.
In the doubles competitions, the duo Marziyya Nurmatova - Aylin Asgarova and Ugur Nazarli - Togrul Mahammadov took first place.
In the mixed doubles category, Adil Ahmadzada and Marziyya Nurmatova won the title. The individual competition ended with the victory of Aylin Asgarova and Adil Ahmadzada.
The athletes who took places on the podium were presented with diplomas and medals from the Ministry of Youth and Sports, as well as gifts from the Azerbaijan Table Tennis Federation.
