World-class competitions to be organized in Azerbaijan based on a new agreement with the International Ski and Snowboard Federation

A partnership agreement has been signed between Azerbaijan and the International Ski and Snowboard Federation.

An agreement on partnership between the International Ski and Snowboard Federation (FIS) and the State Tourism Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan has been signed to develop the potential of winter tourism and winter sports and to host prestigious international competitions in winter sports in Azerbaijan.

Idman.biz reports that the agreement envisages joint cooperation in increasing and improving the existing infrastructure in the field of winter tourism, turning our country into an attractive destination for foreign tourists for winter tourism, as well as organizing international ski competitions in the "Shahdag" Tourism Center.

One of the main goals within the framework of international cooperation is to promote Azerbaijan as a destination where world-class professional competitions in winter sports are held, as well as to ensure large-scale marketing and promotion campaigns of our country's tourism brand and products in the international arena.

According to the agreement, Azerbaijan will act as the organization's "Global Destination Partner" in global competitions (World Cups and championships) organized by the International Ski and Snowboard Federation.

It should be noted that starting from the next winter season, it is planned to organize world-scale competitions of the International Ski and Snowboard Federation in the "Shahdag" Tourism Center.
