The "Towards the Summit - Gazakh 2026" camp and hiking program, organized by the Azerbaijan Mountaineering Federation with the support of the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Azerbaijan, has started today on the occasion of Gazakh being selected as the "Sports Capital" for 2026.
According to Idman.Biz, participants will engage in rock climbing, hiking, and outdoor activities as part of the event held in the Garasu Lake area of Gazakh region.
The program includes hiking to Damcili Spring, Avey Temple, Gizilgaya Mountain, caves, and Goyazan Mountain.
The event is attended by Sanan Rasulov, Secretary General of the Azerbaijan Mountaineering Federation, Yagub Asadov, Vice President of the Federation, and Aziz Masmaliyev, Head of the Gazakh-Tovuz Regional Youth and Sports Department.
It should be noted that the "Towards the Summit - Gazakh 2026" hiking program will conclude on May 29.
