Russian athlete Mikhail Morozenko died after falling from a glacier during the "Trail Running Energy" race in Dombay, a mountainous region. Sport24.az reports that this was confirmed by the former athlete's wife.
The 38-year-old sprinter died after slipping on a glacier during a 100 km race. According to witnesses, the accident happened after the athlete had covered approximately 10 km.
Organizers announced that the race was stopped due to worsening weather conditions.
