Four-time Stanley Cup winner and Canadian hockey player Claude Lemieux has died at the age of 61.
Idman.Biz reports that the NHL Alumni Association announced the news of his death on social media. The cause of death has not been revealed.
Lemieux is one of only nine players to win the Stanley Cup with three different teams. He won the cup with the Montreal Canadiens (1986), New Jersey Devils (1995, 2000) and Colorado Avalanche (1996). In 1995, the forward received the playoff MVP award.
With the Canadian team, Lemieux won the World Junior Championship in 1985, the Canada Cup (1987) and a silver medal at the World Cup (1996).
