Former Manchester United and France national team footballer Patrice Evra will have his first MMA fight.
According to QOL.az, the PFL (Professional Fighters League) organization announced this on its "X" social network account. The fight will take place on May 23 at the "Accor Arena" in Paris. The 43-year-old former captain's opponent has not yet been announced.
"I am officially preparing for my first fight with PFL Europe. They will choose my opponent. They asked me who I wanted to fight? I said, Luis Suarez. I will pay for it myself, he can even bite me if he wants," Evra wrote on "X".
The French footballer was a five-time English champion with Manchester United and won the Champions League. He also played for Monza, Nice, Monaco, Juventus, Marseille and West Ham. Patrice Evra, who played 81 games for the French national team, won a silver medal at Euro 2016.
Evra ended his football career in the summer of 2019.
