Azerbaijani karate fighter Chingiz Abbasov won a gold medal at the "International Marmara Cup Tournament" held in Istanbul, Turkey.
Idman.biz reports that our representative, competing in the 22 kg weight category (6-7 age category), defeated the local athlete in the decisive stage.
It should be noted that 67 athletes represent Azerbaijan at the tournament, where 1837 karate fighters from 28 countries are testing their strength. The competition, which takes place among children, teenagers, youth and adults, will end on August 24.
