Azerbaijani sumo wrestlers finished the European Championship held in Szigetszentmiklós, Hungary with two medals.
According to "Report", our representatives competed in 4 weight categories on the last day of the competition.
Chingiz Samadov, competing in the senior category, won a bronze medal. The athlete, who tested his strength in the 100 kg weight class, won a silver medal at the continental championship held last year in Lutraki, Greece.
It should be noted that 4 sumo wrestlers represented Azerbaijan at the European Championship under the leadership of the Japanese Martial Arts and Culture Association. Rasul Mammadzadeh, who previously competed in the U-23 category, rose to the second step of the podium at the continental championship organized in the U-21, U-23 and senior categories.
